6 simple steps to the NVD job application process
So you’re considering applying for a role at National Vehicle Distribution but unsure of what to do? No sweat, we’ve got a simple step by step process to support you along the way.

1. Find Your Perfect Fit
Start by exploring our job listings to find a role that matches your skills, experience, and career goals. Read through the job descriptions and requirements to ensure a good fit. We want you to thrive from day one.
2. Submit Your Application
Apply for your chosen role directly through the NVD careers page. Simply upload your tailored CV and complete the short questions in our online application form to get started.
3. Application Screening
Our Talent Acquisition (TA) Team will review your CV and application form, assessing your alignment with the role. Because we recruit people, not just CVs, if your application is shortlisted, a member of the TA team will be in touch for a short screening call to get to know you better.
4. The Interview & Assessment Process
We tailor our evaluation process depending on the specific demands of the position:
- Core & Technical Roles (Mechanics, Panel Beaters, Vehicle Handlers): Most of these roles entail a single structured interview alongside a relevant technical assessment.
- Senior & Specialist Roles: These positions may require two rounds of interviews coupled with aptitude testing.
The TA team will outline your specific interview track and timelines during your initial screening call, so you know exactly what to expect.

5. The Job Offer
If you are successful through the interview process, you will promptly receive a formal job offer. We will walk you through the details over the phone, and you will receive everything in writing digitally so you can make an informed decision. (Note: If you aren’t successful this time around, we are committed to providing you with clear feedback).
6. Onboarding & Induction
Once you formally accept our offer, your NVD journey officially begins. We’ll send you all the helpful information you need to prepare for your first day.
- Day One: You will attend a comprehensive HR Induction to welcome you to the team.
- First 3 to 6 Months: You will undergo a department-specific onboarding process with regular check-ins to ensure a smooth, supported transition into your new role.
