6 simple steps to the NVD job application process

So you’re considering applying for a role at National Vehicle Distribution but unsure of what to do? No sweat, we’ve got a simple step by step process to support you along the way.

1. Find the Right Role

Start by exploring our job listings to find a role that matches your skills, experience, and career goals. Read through the job descriptions and requirements to ensure a good fit. We want you to be happy from the beginning.

2. Submit Your Application

Prepare a tailored CV and, if applicable, a personal letter outlining your qualifications and interest in the position. Hit the apply button, fill in your details including the job title and upload your CV.

3. Pre-Screening by HR

Our HR team will review your application, assessing your qualifications and alignment with the role. You may be required to answer pre-screening questions depending on the role. You can expect a response from us very quickly advising on timelines and next steps.

4. Getting to know you

We know that you are much more than your resume, so we would like to get to know you. After all, we recruit people, not CV’s. Once we review the CV, screening form and documents, we’ll reach out to you via a phone call or on-demand video interview. This could be followed by an online live interview with the recruiter or your potential future manager.

5. Interview Process

There will be two Interviews - 1st interview will be with the line manager in person, this interview will be a structured interview and may have a second interviewer present.

The second Interview will be with a member of the HR team and one of the line managers. All interviews will be competency based and each interview will last in the region of 1 hour. We will do our best to conduct both interviews within a two week period.

6. Job Offer: Successful or not

Of course we very much hope that you have been successful in your application. At this stage we will provide a job offer or give feedback as to why you were not successful on this occasion.

If successful we will contact you to present our employment offer and discuss it with you. You will also receive it in writing so you can read through it and make an informed decision. Naturally, we hope you say “yes”. At this stage we will do any background and reference checks required. We will also send you the contract to sign digitally, so that you are ready for your first day.

Onboarding

Once you accept the job , we will be in touch to give you some more information on your new team and other helpful information. Everything you need to prepare for your first day at NVD. There will be an induction within the first month of joining and regular reviews to ensure a smooth transition into the new role.
