Job description

Reporting to and working closely with the Chief People Officer, you will have a deep understanding of our strategic and operational goals and objectives and from that create the content  platforms and deliver learning experiences with measurement across the NVD Group.

Working in line with our values you will select and engage with agile, smart and high standard partners, academic institutions and business bodies whilst always considering how everything you and we all do impacts our internal and external customers’ experience on a daily basis.

The focus of the role is to develop the #ONENVD Group Skills Academy to deliver best in class, innovative and future focused technical, professional and personal development tools and materials.  These tools will enable the NVD Group to deliver the growth strategy.

You will be required to develop the most automated and innovative training methods that will ensure our colleagues across the group have the opportunity to fulfill their full potential.  Ultimately the Head of Group Wide Learning and Development will be instrumental in delivering our business development and growth strategy through learning and development initiatives.

We are searching for candidates with

  • Third level qualification in Business, HR, Engineering or Science or an associated subject
  • You will ideally have a thorough understanding of LEAN operational management or other OPEX standards and how to incorporate them into your training and development strategy
  • Experience of designing and implementing a graduate and or an apprenticeship programme
  • Have a strong and demonstrable ability to work independently in a highly diverse and inclusive culture where colleagues matter and client care, CX is key
  • Knowledge of training methodology: Analysis, Development, Design, Implementation and Evaluation
  • Planning and Project Management skills and experience are key
  • Mentoring and coaching skills and experience that you can show are relevant to NVD
  • Business partnering experience, high level of communication skills, accomplished presenter and facilitator
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, team player able to lead and inspire others
  • You will be able to illustrate how you have been innovative, creative and pragmatic in your life generally as well as in your profession
  • The candidate will have excellent relationship management skills and be able to demonstrate that they have integrity, insight and good judgment with a positive and joyful outlook
  • Working and collaborating with the broader People team you will be playing a key role in ensuring that our #ONENVD community is a place where you and your colleagues can thrive
