HGV Experienced Mechanics 

Due to continued growth in our in-house HGV maintenance workshop operation at Baldonnell, Dublin, NVD have a position for an experienced HGV mechanic. The ideal candidate will have a ”can do attitude” and good problem-solving skills. Rate of pay €26.50 per hour plus an additional premium rate for high diagnostic skills. Full Time (4 x Day working week with flexible start / finish times roster).

Responsibilities:

· Carry out general mechanical planned and corrective maintenance.

· Carry out diagnostic fault identification and rectification repair.

· Assist with apprenticeship training.

Essential Skills and Experience

· HGV or Plant mechanical maintenance experience.

· Excellent communication and team working skills.

· Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks.

· Ideally have experience working on Mercedes, Renault & Scania.

Spray Painter

Summary of Position

Working in a fast-paced workshop, Spray Painters are responsible for providing a quality paint service.

The role is primarily concerned with ensuring vehicles are painted in a timely manner to the highest standard. The successful candidates will be tasked with ensuring that body shop targets and KPI’s are met daily.

This position is based in the NVD Rosslare Workshop. Spray Painters may subsequently be assigned to work in different departments within the workshop during peak times as outline by the workshop manager.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Preparing vehicles for painting
  • Colour matching
  • Paint mixing
  • Painting vehicles to the highest standard
  • Ensuring compliance with established Job Card procedures
  • Communicating all potential issues in advance to Manager/Supervisor
  • Ensuring compliance with safe working/operating practices
  • Undertaking other duties from time to time as outlined to you by your Manager/Supervisor

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified Spray Painter through papers or hours served.

The NVD Group VPC workshops carry out high volume light vehicle body repairs, pre-delivery inspections, conversions, fleet preparation and de-fleet services. The company offers a best in class dedicated body shop service utilising the latest 3D chassis alignment equipment, ADAS technology, and PDR methodologies across our three Irish workshops located at Baldonnell, Rosslare and Ringaskiddy.

Due to increasing expansion and demand for our quality services, we have two exciting Workshop Manager opportunities for Rosslare & Ringaskiddy workshops.

 

The Workshop Manager is responsible for the day-to-day efficient and effective operation of the workshop.

 

Primary Objective;

To achieve and maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service delivery together with continuous improvement delivery on workshop cost control and improved profitability. The successful candidate will carry out all duties and responsibilities under the guidance and direction of the Group Workshop Operations Manager.

 

Duties and responsibilities – Production;

· Through the coordination and management of all body shop assets and activities, achieves efficiency and output targets to meet company requirements and customer demands.

· Responsible for the workshop supervisory team and support provision in the effective management of all staff members.

· Operates within agreed KPI parameters.

· Responsible for equipment maintenance, equipment supplier liaison, tooling calibrations, and for achieving required 5S standards in the VPC area.

· Works proactively with staff to ensure a continued safe working environment; ensures statutory and mandatory training is up to date.

· Completes periodic training needs assessment of all body shop staff members.

· Pursues continuous improvement in operations and safe work practices.
